On Sunday morning, November 9, 2014; God's Heavenly Angels were dispatched to Charleston, SC. For God saw that one of His flowers had reached full bloom and was ready to be picked. Without a farewell, Yolanda Denise Barr joined the Master's Bouquet.

Yolanda Denise Barr was born August 30, 1969 in St. George, SC to David and Virginia Barr.

"Landa", as she was lovingly known by many, received her education in Dorchester County School District 4. She is a 1987 graduate of Harleyville-Ridgeville High School, Dorchester, SC. "Landa" was known for her "crafty hands". She loved to decorate and create. After high school graduation, she decided to pursue her passion by entering the Interior Design program at Trident Technical College, Charleston, SC.

At an early age, "Landa" joined Surprise Baptist Church, Dorchester, SC; where she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized. She later joined the Christian family at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church.

"Landa" was employed by Newbold Services, LLC on location at Cummins, Inc., Ladson, SC. She was also employed by Pinewood Preparatory School of Summerville, SC.

Her memories will live forever in the hearts and minds of many: her loving parents, David & Virginia Barr of the home; siblings, Dorothy M. Simmons, Mary A. Simpson both of Charleston, SC and Benjamin Simmons of Dorchester, SC; aunts, Rachael Pringle of Jacksonville, FL, Louise Pringle of New York, Clara M. (Thomas) Rodgers of Summerville, SC and Rebecca Barr of Dorchester, SC; one grand aunt, Carrie Barr of Georgetown, SC; one goddaughter, Kamryn Nicole Smith, affectionately known to her as "Little Sweetie"; two devoted cousins, Gloria and Percy Thomas of Summerville, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
