Willistena Cusack

Willistena Lenora Cusack entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2026. She was born on November 21, 1972, to Wille Joe Cusack and the late Maxine Gule Cusack.

Willistena was a beacon of light and warmth to everyone she encountered. Her family was the center of her universe, and she found immense joy in the laughter and love they shared.

Known for her remarkable sense of humor and her natural ability to make everyone feel warm and welcome, Willistena was a friend to many and a confidante to those who needed her most. She possessed the extraordinary gift of making people feel valued and loved, often going out of her way to help others, no matter the circumstances.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Gule Cusack; paternal grandparents, Kingmon and Eula Mae Cusack; maternal grandfather, James Gule; three uncles, Rufus Cusack, Reginald Cusack, and Luhaze (Darby) Cusack; and two aunts, Patrica Britt and Betty Singletary.

Willistena leaves to cherish her loving memory her beloved daughter, Jasmine Cusack of Summerville, SC; grandson, Ja Kari Cusack of Summerville, SC; father, Wille Joe Cusack of Dorchester, SC; sister, Yvonne Cusack of Moncks Corner, SC; niece, Colline Cusack of Moncks Corner, SC; maternal grandmother, Carrie Gule of Dorchester, SC; two uncles, William Thomas (Clarice) Gule of Summerville, SC, and Dewey Clint Gule of Dorchester, SC; eight aunts, Ollie Smith, Gerona Anderson, Jacqueline Simons, Gloria Cusack, Arlethia Cusack, and Marie Cusack, all of Dorchester, SC, Caroline Cusack of Lithonia, GA, and Claretha (Michael) Riley of Fayetteville, NC; one great aunt, Willie Lee Cusack and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
