Willie Mae Johnson Garvin peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 26, 1928 in Colleton County to the late Oliver Johnson and Alice Mitchell Johnson.

Willie Mae was preceded in death by five siblings.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories her loving husband, Deacon Uleysee Garvin; three sons, Richard Lee (Vanessa) Johnson of Holly Hill, SC, Cato (Linda) Johnson, Sr. and James Curtis (Loretha) Garvin both of St. George, SC; four daughters, Barbara A. Johnson and Eula Lee (Odell) Riley both of St. George, SC, Reluncher (Earnest) Johnson of Ft. Pierce, FL and Eula Mae Williams of Orangeburg, SC; one granddaughter she reared in the home Chiyono (Greg) Westbury of St. George, SC; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; four brothers-in-law, Dea. Raymond Garvin of St. George, SC, Albert Garvin of Dorchester, SC, Rev. Dr. McKelvie (Judy) Garvin of Spartanburg, SC and Rev. Neo (Margaret) Garvin of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters-in-law, Fannie Garvin and Helen Garvin Brown both of St. George, SC and Rodella Shuler of Brooklyn, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
