Mr. Willie Goodwin AKA "Shirt," Lil Willie" and "The Roll Call Man" was granted his wings on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at his home.  Mr. Willie was born March 8, 1938.  He was the only son of the late Charles and Annie Mack Goodwin.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Annie Lee Goodwin Gadson.

Mr. Willie was employed by Georgia Pacific of Holly Hill, SC.  He also worked with Willie Moorer Cemetery Committee.  He helped many individuals who fell on hard times.  His door was always opened.

Mr. Willie Goodwin was married to Ruth Addison.  To this union three children were born.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Larry (Denise) Goodwin, Glenda (Shelton) Gibson, and Sandra (Larry) Jones of New Jersey and Sharon (James) Boyd of Ridgeville, SC; grandchildren, Shanda (Billy) Carmichael, Shelby Gibson, Markell and Asia Boyd; great grandchildren, Aliyah Carmichael, and  Symone Gibson; four siblings, Deaconess Alice (the late John) Adams, Dora Bell (the late Harm) Lary; Annie Ceil Goodwin all of Harleyville, SC, and  Jessie Mae (Mitchell) Barlett of Miami, Florida; a very devoted niece Beatrice Goodwin, who was also his caregiver; a special friend, Lisa Gelzer of Harleyville, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
