A Time to Be Born….William Jerome Mack also known as Dunk was born April 23, 1957 in Harleyville, SC in the St. Paul Community to the late Cedella Mack Welfare and the late Walter Brown.
A Time to Plant….Jerome attended Dorchester County Public Schools.
A Time to Love and A Time to Embrace….Jerome accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Greater St. Paul AME Church at an early age where he served on the Usher Board.
Jerome loved working on cars. He worked for many years at Johnny Owens Service Station. He also worked at the Presbyterian Home in Summerville, SC for several years until he moved to Derry, PA.
Jerome was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin L. Welfare and a son, Jeremy Jerome Mack.
A Time to Mourn….Jerome leaves to cherish his wonderful memories: His loving son, Dewayne Mack of Derry, PA; adopted daughter, Diane Differderfer of Derry, PA; four sisters, Lillian Theresa Mack of Harleyville, SC, Cynthia (Wellington) Daley of Hephzibah, GA, Elaine (Roosevelt) Blake of Orangeburg, SC and Octavia (William) Shaw of Vance, SC; a special aunt whom he was raised up with Margaret Mack of Goose Creek, SC; three aunts, Sallie M. Berry of Greenwood, SC, Gloria (Daniel) Boyd of Harleyville, SC and Ernestine Lee of Richmond, VA; two uncles, Franklin (Brenda) Mack of Dorchester, SC and Jesro Brown of Harleyville, SC; four grandchildren, Zaivon Mack, Zariah Mack, Zy'eir and Zeonna Mack all of Derry, PA; five adoptive grandchildren, Skylar (Carrie) Diffenderder, Brandon (Nikki) Diffenderfer, Bridget (Calvin) Fleming, Katelin (James) Crusan and Blanden Diffenderfer all of Derry, PA; seventeen great grands; a devoted friend, Irene Trout of Derry, PA; a god sister, Ashley (Antoine) Mitchum of St. George, SC; a special cousin, Monica Brown (Quinn) of Goose Creek, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His humorous ways will truly be missed.
