William Orville Cokley, was born to proud parents; the late Fred Cokley Jr. and Fannie Mae Green Cokley, on June 25, 1957. He attended the public schools of Reevesville (Matthew Elementary) and St. George (St. George High School). He departed this life on Tuesday, November 12, 2013.
At an early age, he became part of the Bethel No. 1 Holiness Church Family.

Bill was a very energetic and compassionate person. He loved to laugh and always wanted to make sure others around him was laughing too. There was never a sad moment with him. He loved his grandmother, Rola Mae and especially his mother, Fannie. He was very protective of his sisters.
About six years ago, Bill, as he was called by family and friends, made a major decision to change his life style. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior and that became his conversation. In the words of the Apostle Paul, he was not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many times when we were discouraged, and feeling sad for him, he would always find ways to encourage and uplift us.
His testimony was that he was a changed man. His conversation and his mind set changed and he didn't care who knew that he was SAVED! Bill loved God and he loved and studied the Word of God. One of his favorite sayings was Jesus died for him, so he was going to Live for Him.

Bill leaves to grieve his departure, but cherish his memories: a loving, caring and devoted mother, Mrs. Fannie Green Cokley, one son, William Leonard Cokley (Tiffany), one grandson, Micah Cokley; four sisters, Elaine McCall Washington, DC, Barbara Berry, Summerville SC, Linda Sims (John), Lithonia Ga., Peggy Fogle, Reevesville, SC and Cathy Cokley, St. George, SC. one brother, Morris Manning, two uncles; Mr. Douglas McArthur (DS) Cokley and Mr. Louis McKinley Cokley (Rosetta); four aunts; Mrs. Rosa Mae Mack, Mrs. Patricia Duggins, Mrs. Shirley Lewis (Jerry) and Ms. Joyce Green; seven nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews, three great aunts, and a number of cousins other relatives and friends.

Bill will be tremendously missed by his family. Anyone that visited with him in recent years knows that he was definitely a changed person. The family is at peace knowing that Bill is with the Lord.
