Wilbur Lary transitioned from this life on November 27, 2010 and he is now resting peacefully with the Lord.

Wilbur was born in Dorchester, South Carolina to the late Willie and Elisa Lary.

Wilbur attended the public schools in Dorchester. At an early age he gave his life to Christ and joined Surprise Baptist Church in Dorchester, South Carolina.

Wilbur was united in holy matrimony to the late Deloris Davis. To this union he was blessed with five children.
Wilbur was preceded in death by two children, Edward Lary and Wilbur Lary, Jr.

Wilbur leaves to rejoice in his memory and home going, his wife Virginia of Chester, PA; two daughters, Mary (Cleo) Hairston and Kimberly (Mark) Haynes both of CT; two sons, Billy (Sonya) Lary of Cincinnati, OH and William (Evette) Bailey of Oxford, CT; ten grand children; seven great grand children; one sister, Bertha Lee Lary Singletary of Dorchester, SC; one sister-in-law, Mattie Mae Grove of Coseville, PA; one brother-in-law, Moses Grove of Coseville, PA and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
