Obituary

Mrs. Vivian Reeves Green, the daughter of the late Evelyn Syphrett and Abraham Davis, was born on November 9,1955 in Orangeburg County. She entered eternal rest on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro, South Carolina.

Vivian attended St. George public schools in Dorchester County. She was an active member of Mt. Moriah Church until her health failed.

She was known as ''Sister'' to many, and gave her heart fully to her family, always putting their needs first and offering endless support. Her love was a constant source of comfort and strength. She was the heart of the family and her presence was also known. If you met her, you never forgot her. She is one of a kind. She would always speak her mind and tell you exactly what she was thinking and love you at the same time. She never met a stranger and her hospitality was unmatched. She enjoyed cooking, reading the bible, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She will be truly missed in the community.

She was joined in holy matrimony to Harold Green on February 2, 1978, and to this union they were blessed with two beautiful daughters. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Evelyn Syphrett and Abraham Davis, her husband Harold Green, and one brother Jeremiah (Rosetta) Reeves.

Vivian leaves to cherish memories to her dedicated daughters, Tameka (Tarrus) Johnson of Orangeburg, SC and Bisceglia (Demar) Gilliard of Fort Collins, CO; five grandchildren, Demar ''Devonte'' Gilliard, Nikayla Johnson, Kiarra Johnson, Hannah Gilliard, and Kylen Johnson; one great grandchild, Karter Stephens, three sisters Cynthnia Simmons of Killeen TX, Bertha Reeves, and Ruth (Phillip) Walker both of Reevesville, SC,; one brother, David (Christine) Syphrett of Reevesville, SC; two sisters-in-law Gloria Pelzer and Florinda (Vincent) Britt both of St. George, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
