Viola "Vickie"
Jamison-Heyward
Jul 26, 1958 — Sep 18, 2019
Saint George
Viola "Vickie" Jamison-Heyward was born July 26, 1958 in South Carolina to Mrs. Rosa Mae Jamison and the late Aze Jamison. She entered into eternal rest on September 18, 2019 at her home.
Vickie was a part of the 1977 graduating class from St. George High School. For many years she was employed at Carolina Girls Wear in Saint George, SC. Shortly after the closing of Carolina Girls Wear she devoted many of her years and her heart to the Dorchester School District Four.
At a very young age, Vickie joined Jerusalem Baptist Church in Grover. She was a dedicated servant on the usher board up until the time of her death. To many in the area and some miles away she was their personal seamstress for many many years, especially little Miss Janylah. Another hobby she had was taking care of her beautiful plants.
Vickie was preceded in death by her father, Aze Jamison, her older sister, Adeline Williams and younger brother, Gregory Jamison.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: her loving devoted husband, Leroy Heyward, Jr.; her mother, Rosa Mae Jamison of Saint George, SC; her children, Amos (Tiffany) Mack Jr. of Chambersburg, PA and Jasmine (Stephen) Heyward of Saint George, SC; her stepson, Isaac Heyward of El Paso, Texas; one grandchild, JaNylah Kelly; her sisters, Rozena (Clyde) Washington, Mary Ann (Theodore) Britt, Sandra (Frank) Jamison, Vanessa Williams all of Saint George and Louverne (Robert) Britt of Ridgeville, SC; her brothers, Joe (Patricia) Jamison and Anthony Jamison both of Saint George, Gentry (Blondell) Jamison of Summerville, SC and Samuel (Shirley) Jamison of Georgia; two VERY special friends, Rose (Marvin) Kelly and Sandra (Chris) Butler; mother-in-law, Albertha Heyward; two sisters-in-law, Laura (Jimmy) Heyward and Patricia Lumpkins; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
