Mrs. Vernese Britt Primus the daughter of the late Susie Britt and Louis Britt departed this life on Friday, April 19, 2019 after an extended illness.

She was born December 31, 1928 in Dorchester County.  She was educated in the Public Schools of Dorchester County.

She joined St. Mark Baptist Church at an early age and confessed Christ as her Savior.  After relocating back to South Carolina in 1991 she reinstated her membership with St. Mark Baptist Church.

She was joined in holy matrimony to the late John Primus and they were blessed with six children.  One son, Robert L. Primus preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories:  two sons, Mearl L. Primus (Linda) of the home, Craig (Vanessa) S. Primus of New Platz, NY; three daughters, Delores (Lester) McDonald of Hillcrest, NY, Hilda (Jonathan) Brewer of Long Pond, PA and Vernell (Lloyd) Primus of Queens, NY; daughter-in-law, Jacquelin Primus of St. George, SC; sixteen grandchildren, Jeannette, Jason, Cutrenna, Sabrina, Michael, Nakeiha, Tonya, Marissa, Felicia, Lisa, Wesley, Diondra, Stephanie, Jamel, Craig S. and Jonathan; fourteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Lether Thomas, Frances (Max) Folds, Susie Queen (Rev. General) Britt, Nellie Rose Primus; three brothers, Ernest Britt, Bennie (Rose) Britt and Deacon Paul (Jannie Ruth) Britt; five sisters-in-law, Christine Primus, Javonna Primus, Myzine Primus Guess, Berneatha Britt and Mary Britt; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
