Obituary

Troy Kenneth K. Ferguson , the son of Reverend Kenneth and Loretta Ferguson, was born on June 7, 1983, in Charleston, SC. He departed his earthly life on February 9, 2009, in Richmond, Virginia.

Troy graduated from Menchville High School in Newport News, Virginia. He learned to beat drums at a young age. Beating the drums in church was one of Troy's greatest passions. He was an awesome drummer; he also enjoyed rapping and writing music. One that will be remembered is the "Peanut Butter Man."

Troy was a very friendly guy who would befriend anyone and for that reason, Troy had never known a stranger. He truly loved his family and he loved to be around children. Whenever he was around, he would always keep you laughing with his jokes. Troy's laughter was contagious.

Troy leaves to cherish his days on earth, his father and mother, Reverend Kenneth and Loretta Ferguson; one sister, Kimberly Ferguson, NewPort News, Virginia; one nephew, Master Keshawn Jones; his God Mother, Ms. Martha W. Rivers, Walterboro, SC; seven aunts, Naomi (Robert) Chisolm, Raleigh, NC; Reverend Emily (Jerome) Williams, Walterboro, SC, Wynelle Harrison, Walterboro, SC, Vernice Crumwell, Charleston, SC, Carolyn (Vernon) Heyward, Charleston, SC, Jackie Middleton, Orlando, FL and Cynthia McKay Ferguson, Walterboro, SC; four uncles, Antonio Harrison and Jonathan Harrison both of Walterboro, SC, Apostle Andy (Crystal) Ferguson, Jr., Orlando, FL and Elder Vincent (Juanita) Ferguson, Jacksonville, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
