Tiny Lee Dereef Simmons, daughter of the late Annie Bell Brothers Dereef and William Price Dereef, was born on August 30, 1932. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at St. George Health Care Center after an extended illness.

Tiny was joined in holy matrimony to the late Reverend Eugene Simmons.

Tiny was a member of the Stewardess Board at New Grace United Methodist Church. Tiny enjoyed singing and she formerly sang with a family quartet group. Tiny also enjoyed watching the soap operas and The Price is Right on television. She also enjoyed cooking.

Tiny's memories will be cherished by: two daughters, Betty Holmes (Nathaniel) and Mamie Sue (Robert) Ravenell both of St. George, SC; two nephews whom she raised, Bobby Simmons of the home and Willie (Cynthia) Simmons of Maryland; one sister-in-law, Marsena Simmons of St. George, SC; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
