Prophetess Theresa Blanche Smalls affectionately known as "Missy/Nana Girl" was born on June 27, 1952 in Harleyville, South Carolina to Edward Hicks, Sr. and to the late Rollie Mae Hicks. She departed this life on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

She was educated in the public school system of Dorchester County. She was employed as a bus driver. She was a choir member of the MK Ravenell Mass Choir then later joined Temple of Refuge (COTLG) of Apostolic Faith where she was ordained as Assistant Pastor of the Charlotte, North Carolina location under the leadership of Apostle Dr. N.J. Dunlap. When she was able, she loved going fishing, cooking, church, and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her mother Rollie Mae Hicks; brother, John White; two sisters, Betty Ann Roberts and Annie Davis.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: her father, Edward Hicks, Sr. of Harleyville, SC; five daughters, Adrian Smalls of Metropolis, Illinois, Gavette Smalls of Irmo, South Carolina, Lavelle Smalls of Summerville, South Carolina, Veverly Smalls of Irmo, South Carolina and Hiechine Smalls of West Columbia, South Carolina; eleven grandchildren, LaPortia Holman, Danielle Holman, Shaquille Smalls, HaSanti Allen, Moesha Addison, Earnita Smalls, Rae'Saun Brown, Octavia Allen, Niaja (Kevano) Major, Zadia Addison, and Ja'Quan Allen; thirteen great grandchildren with one on the way; three brothers, Edward Hicks, Jr., Harry (Thomasenia) Hicks and John Hicks; five sisters, Martha White, Geneva (Rutledge) Davis, Louise (Richard) Fields, Valara (Leroy) James and Ann (Keith) Smalls; special friend, Thomas Wright; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
