Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling for you and me. On May 8 th , 2021 at Pruitt Health, Inc. Moncks Corner, SC. Brother Thomas (ST) Summers answered his call.
ST was born October 15, 1939 in St. George, SC to the late Lutisha Wilmingham Summers and Cary Summers. He was educated in Dorchester County Public Schools. At an early age, he became a member of New Hope AME Church and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior.
Later years he moved to New York and became employed with Hunt Point Market as a truck driver. He was a painter as well. He then moved back to South Carolina until his health declined.
He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Curlyno, Wilmer, Winston, Lee, Daisy Bell, Marion, Mary Lee and Ella Mae.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his special nieces, Blondell Jamison, Gloria Ferguson, Marian Smith, Gloria Martino, Betty Joyner, Thomasania Smith, Florine Smalls, Elease Vanderhorst, Therata Frazier, and Valerie Smith; other nieces, Diane Smith, Rosetta Reeves, Rev. Rosa Mack, Lilly Evans, Linda Johnson, Mazella Berry, Sonvonia Smith, and Loretta Smalls; nephews, Robert Summers, Billy Cobbs, Ricky Martino, Joseph Martino, Harry and Larry Brothers, Aaron Brothers, James C. Brothers, and John Lee Summers; special great nieces and nephews, Angie Martino, caregiver, Brad Martino, Jameer, Kalayshia, and Vennyshia; a host of loving great, great, great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends (Kristy Coatas, best friend, Fred Murray and neighbor, Francis Dukes) all of whom will truly miss him.
