Mr. Thomas Levi "Cave/Caveman" Lemon, Jr. son of the late Thomas Levi Lemon, Sr. and Bessie Lingard Lemon who both preceded him in death. Thomas was born on September 10, 1955 in Dorchester County. He transitioned peacefully with family members surrounding him at Lowcountry Community Hospice House, Summerville, SC on August 30, 2022.
Thomas attended schools in Dorchester County and graduated in 1973. Thomas life was full of accomplishments. While in high school he worked at Piggly Wiggly as a stocker until graduation. He then joined the National Guard Reserve and served our country well for seven years and received an honorable discharge.
Then Thomas held several other jobs which included a long-distance mail carrier for the US Postal Service, a machine operator with Gruber Logging and a truck driver for shop McMahan Hardware/Lumber Store. Afterwards, he went to New York City to live from 1989-2008. After returning back to SC in the latter 2008 year he became a natural handyman.
Thomas was affectionately known as Uncle Bubba by all his nieces and nephews. He was affectionately known as Cave/Caveman by other family members, friends and people in the community.
Thomas was friendly, talented, outgoing and intelligent father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin who enjoyed joking around, car racing, dancing, cooking, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Irene Lemon and Naomi Lemon, and one brother, Walter Lemon.
Although Thomas has transitioned precious memories will abide and never be forgotten by his two dedicated daughters, LaRonda Carson of St. George, SC and Tonya (Robert) McLendon of Virginia Beach, VA; one loving son, Kendrick Lemon of Walterboro, SC; six grandchildren, Madison-Lee, Kennedi, Shavono, Heigel, Ayden and Shamir; two sisters, Margie Lemon of Middleburg, FL and Betty (Johnny) Bryant of Covington, GA; two brothers, Joseph (Crystal) Lemon of Middleburg, FL and John Lemon of St. George, SC; two adopted sisters, Cassandra Mabry of Havre DeGrace, MD and Dianne Branch of Freeport, NY; three aunts, Retha Cardenez and Reba Lawton both of Ruffin, SC and Queen Esther Lingard of Summerville, SC; one uncle, Benjamin Sanders of Decatur, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. A special family friend, Debbie Breaker and special thanks to niece, Dr. Tracy Lemon.
