Theodosia S. Felder, who was affectionately known as Dosia or Granny, was the fifth child born to the late Mammie Louise and Harlod Singleton on March 2, 1940.  She passed away on January 12, 2014, at the Medical University of South Carolina Ashley River Tower, after a brief illness.

She attended the public schools of Charleston, worked in Environmental Services at the College of Charleston and as a School Crossing Guard for Charleston County.

She was married Robert Columbus Felder, who preceded her in death.  Together they had three children.

She accepted Christ at an early age.   On February 15, 1957, she became a lifelong member of Central RMUE Church in Charleston, SC under the leadership of Rev. E.O. Gibbs.  She joined class #10 under the leadership of Bro. William M. Grimbell.  Later, she changed her class membership to class #3 under the leadership of Sis. Jacquline Wine.  Theododia loved serving the Lord and working faithfully in her church.  She was the founder and advisor of the Girls Junior Usher Board, President of Usher Board #2, a member of The Pastor's Aid Board and the Willing Worker's Board.  She always wanted to be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord, rather than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.  Therefore, she exemplified this by not only serving as an usher at Central, but also actively being a member of the Interdenominational Usher's Council #1.

Theodosia was a loving and caring woman who was always willing to help anyone in need, she loved her family and friends dearly.  She always opened her door to many family members who were in need.  She would welcome them with kind words, open arms and her affectionate smile.

She not only enjoyed attending church, but she along with her friends "The Golden Girls (Ms. Julia, Ms. Gloria, Ms. Fields, Ms. Alma, Ms. Mildred Chapman and Ms. Mildred Simmons) all enjoyed attending The Senior Citizens Center weekly and playing Bingo.  The pandemic didn't allow her to attend church services in person, but it gave her an opportunity to worship at home virtually with various local churches.

Preceding Theodosia in death were her parents, Mammie Lousie and Harold Singleton; her sister, Dorothy L. Smith; her brothers, Charles Singleton, James Ellis and Stanley Singleton; grandsons, Tyrike D. Singleton and Melvin Smalls, III.

She leaves to cherish her life: her children, Edward Paul Singelton (Cynthia) of Bronx, NY, Deborah Singelton, Jesse Monfort Singleton (Brenda) of Charleston, SC, Robert Charles Felder (Florence) of Florence, SC, Octavia Ramoma Felder of Charleston, SC and Oveta Roberta Smalls (Melvin) of Ludowici, GA; her sisters, Romonia Singleton of Brooklyn, NY, Ida Chisolm of Charlotte, NC, and Jennie Owusu of Mullin, SC; her grands, Jesse Q.L. brown, Lynette P. Brown, Tyesha M. Searls, Shantella Singleton, Shadonna Brooks (Angelo), Shaquanna Edwards, Jessica Y. Watkins (Senya), Shakima M. Singleton, Anna Kay Knight, Michael D. Mack, Mar'Kell D. Mack, Nakia and Quincy Mitchell; 20 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; her special niece, who carries her name, Theodosia Chisolm-Stevens of NY; her brother-in-law,, Ret. Col. Edward Ned Felder of Burke, VA.

Theodosia will also be missed by these special people: Jesse Johnson, Deborah Brown, Gwendolyn Holmes, Yvonne Smith and Beverly McArthur.
