Ms. Tamara Utsey, the daughter of the late Blanch Bingley and Freddie Utsey, was born August 15, 1956 in Dorchester County. She departed this life on November 25, 2023 after an extended illness.

Tamara grew up in the Grover Community and attended the public schools of Dorchester County. At a young age she joined Jerusalem Baptist Church.

For over 30 years Tamara did industrial work as a presser starting with the Fairmount Company which ended as Amblers. She continued to work in many different industries such as housekeeping and dietitian. Tamara helped a lot throughout the community and eventually retired on her own.

Tamara loved her family and would give you the shirt off her back. She enjoyed music and dancing her life away.

She was preceded in death by her soul mate Roland Daniels, four siblings, Gwendolyn Cusack, Robin Utsey, Wayne Utsey and Cynthina Utsey.

She leaves to cherish her memories with her only daughter, Lavita Shaunte Utsey, her grandchildren; Diwieja Utsey, Markeis Parson, and Markaya Parson; great grands; Dakari Green and Jasura Simmons; three brothers Freddie (Gene) Utsey, and Kirk Utsey of Grover, SC and Jarvis (Margette) Utsey of Greenville, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
