Obituary

Susie M. Pinckney was born on May 5, 1942, in Dorchester, South Carolina. She was the youngest of four children of Johnny and Rosa Lee Lary Pinckney.

Susie transited from her earthly home with the faith to begin her eternal heavenly life on March 10, 2015.

At an early age Susie joined Morris Chapel United Methodist Church. She attended faithfully until her health failed.

Susie graduated from Kennedy High School in Harleyville. After graduation, she relocated to Brooklyn, New York where she furthered her education. She was employed as a Nurse's Assistant at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

Upon returning to South Carolina, she became employed at Carolina Sewing Factory in St. George, South Carolina.

She was well loved by her family and will be sadly missed.

Susie was preceded in death by her siblings Barbara Jean and Eugene.

She leaves a legacy of loving memories that will be cherished forever; one brother, Preston Pinckney of Brooklyn, NY; two sisters-in-law, Annie Mae Pinckney of Brooklyn, NY and Gloria Pinckney of Fayetteville, NC; nieces, Patricia Pinckney (Jerry) of Dorchester, SC, Barbara Wardlaw (Willie), Monica Santos (Carlos) and Cynthia Springer (Sonny) all of Brooklyn, NY, Valencia Pinckney of Bronx, NY and Tamuletta Pinckney of Richmond, VA; nephews, Edaar Pinckney (Juanita), Gerard Pinckney (Diane), and Anthony Pinckney (Janet) all of Brooklyn, NY and Derrick and Ronald Pinckney deceased; two grand nephews, who she called her own grands, Damien and Darian Abrahaw; a host of grand nieces, grand nephews, other relatives and friends.
