Spencer Dequincy
Christie
Dec 13, 1960 — Mar 8, 2019
Saint George
MR. SPENCER DEQUINCY CHRISTIE departed this life on Friday, March 8, 2019 in St. George, SC unexpectedly, due to a tragic accident.
He was born on December 13, 1960 to the late Sammie Christie and the late Thelma Christie. At an early age, Spencer joined Trinity United Methodist Church.
Spencer attended the public schools in Dorchester County where he played on the band and was known for his artwork. Spencer worked as a painter, cook, yard work, and other odd jobs. However, he always spoke very favorable of his employers at the Country Kitchen.
Spencer was never married, nor did he have any children, but he cherished his family and friends. He was one that enjoyed having fun, eating good food, and laughing. In his community, he was known for being helpful to his neighbors and for his witty personality. Spencer was a genuine spirit that was true to self.
Spencer leaves to cherish his fond memories: a loving sister, Cynthia Cobbs of St. George, SC, one devoted brother-in-law, Malachi "Malo" Cobbs of St. George, SC; two nieces, Portia Cobbs Haynes of New York, NY, and Christy L. Mitchell of Denmark, SC; one nephew, Zellard Fitzgerald (Carmela) Lemon of Vancouver, WA; one grandniece, SharDea Haynes; five grandnephews, Sheldon Andrew McBride, Princeton Alexander McBride, Raekwon V. Nixon, Jae'don Arnez Lemon, and Keith Namiah McBride Jr.; one great- grandnephew, King Joel Terry; and other relatives and friends.
