Saturday, June 2, 2012, God sent his Angel to Charleston, South Carolina to claim his own and she answered his call. Shawnetta Lyndell Dacus was born to Betty Jean Dacus and the late Sampson Dacus.
At an early age she joined St. Mary Baptist Church in Mims, Florida; after relocating to South Carolina she joined St. John United Methodist Church. She attended Oak Park Elementary School, Madison Middle School and graduated from Penn Foster High School. She attended the University of Phoenix and later transferred to Trident Technical College.
Shawnetta was a very loveable person who enjoyed her family and friends. She enjoyed singing and talking on the phone and always kept a smile on her face. She shared her testimony with her family and friends. She was known as "Lu-Lu" to her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her fond memories, a loving mother, Betty Jean Dacus, brother, Travis Dacus, and God sister, Teronda Philson all of Mims, Florida; a Godson, Zy'on Brown; aunt and Godmother, Linda Moorer, a special uncle, Rickie Davis; special aunts, Deborah Davis and Corrine Edwards; other aunts and uncles, Rose Mae (Cleve) Footman, Dorell (Clevon) Ferguson and Kersey Lee Hamilton; four grand aunts; one great uncle; five special cousins, Blanchtina Davis, Crystal Williams, Mariah Brown, Lashiquana Edwards and Creosha Williams; two special friends back home in Florida, LaRoyce Mitchell and Latoria Kirkman; and a host of other friends and cousins.
