On September 29, 1989 a beautiful angel with a loving heart was introduced to the world as Ms. Shawana Quinesha Britt, the daughter of Leslie Britt and Sherwin Heyward. On October 24, 2023, Shawana was called to serve as one of God's newest angels and on that very day, everyone who knew and loved Shawana heart was broken.

After graduating from Woodland High School in 2007, Shawana pursued a Bachelor of Arts Degree at South Carolina State University. Shawana's passion and drive for helping people in need; landed her an opportunity to work for North America Title Loans and shortly after being an assistant, Shawana got promoted to Store Manager.

Shawana was a loving mother who adored spending time with her children and family. Although Shawana was very family oriented, outside of being a mom, she also loved to go out from time to time with her sisters and friends just to enjoy life.

Shawana leaves behind to cherish her memories: two sons, Isaiah Branham and Christian Rainey of St. George, SC; one daughter, Cymphany Rainey of St. George, SC; her mother Leslie Britt of Charleston, SC; Godmother Nancy Brown; her father, Sherwin Heyward of New York; Godfather John Johnson; three sisters, Shamayne Summers, Shamara Summers of Charleston, SC and Aeriyona Summers of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Shadell Summers of New York; two grandmothers, Eartha Britt and Emma Britt of St. George, SC; her Grandfather Roger (Ruth) Britt of Smoaks, SC; three uncles, Federick (Jackie) Britt and Kerrington (Ericka) Britt of Summerville, SC and Marquin (Rowena) Britt of St. George, SC; four aunts, Olivia Britt and Karen Clark of St. George, SC, Monica and Rashidea Riley of Charleston, SC; a host of great uncles, great aunts and cousins.
