Obituary

Samuel Mckinney was born September 25, 1935.  Sam was the seventh child of eleven children born to the late Green and Mary Mckinney of Sardis, MS.  He entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 30, 2019.

Sam moved to Seattle, Washington in 1952.  He worked at Pacific Iron and Metal as a fork lift driver for 52 years before retiring in 2000.

He was a member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of the Late Reverend Norman Mitchell.

After enjoying retirement in Seattle, he moved to South Carolina in 2007.

Sam had a heart of gold and was greatly loved.  Sam loved to talk and he never met stranger.  He will surely be missed.

Sam was preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret Ann Mckinney.

Sam leaves fond memories to be cherished in the hearts of his beloved wife Lula Mckinney; two sons, Sam J. Mckinney (Mary) and Tremaine D. Mckinney (Kenyatta) both of Seattle, WA; six grandchildren, Eisha J. Mckinney of Houston, TX, Andraya N. Clewis of the home, both raised by Sam and Lula, Kaleb Mckinney, Xavier, Sayniah and Chancelor Mckinney all of Seattle, WA; two great grandchildren, Emony Holt and Pharoah both of Houston, TX; three brothers, Willie Allen Mckinney (Pearl), Joe Willie Mckinney (Doris), and Lawrence Mckinney (Ethel) all of Sardis, MS; two godsons, Zacheus Miller and Dominique D. Torrey both of Seattle, WA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
