Mr. Samuel DeLacey Lemon, son of the late Clyde and Martha Britt Lemon was born on July 24, 1955 in St. George, South Carolina. He was summoned home by God's Angels on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at his home.

Samuel was affectionately called "Lacey" by his friends and family members. He received his education in the public schools of Dorchester County. After graduating from St. George High School, he attended Shaw University in Raleigh, NC. He graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.

Samuel was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church where he served on the Male Chorus and Gospel Choir. He really loved and enjoyed singing, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. Lacey had a love for baseball. He played and coached the game for many years. He was loved by all who knew him in his church and community.

Samuel was joined in Holy matrimony on June 30, 1985 to Juanita Brown. This union was blessed with one beautiful daughter, Ashley whom he dearly loved.

He leaves to cherish, precious memories: a loving and devoted wife, Juanita Brown Lemon; a loving daughter ,Ashley Renee Lemon of the home; four sisters, Arlethia (Luhaze) Cusack, Dorchester, SC, Cassandra Lemon, St. George, SC, Diane (Leonard) Jefferson, Tallahassee, FL, Paulette Brock, Raleigh, NC and one adopted sister, Iris Hazel of Brooklyn, NY; Mother-in- law, Martha Brown Harleyville, SC; Sisters-in-law, Ernestine Heyward, Incentlee Lemon, Marilyn Brown all of St. George, SC, Daisy (Herbert ) Deas, and Cherry (Charles) Pearson, Summerville, SC, Mary (Leon) Conner, Ridgeville, SC and Delores (Charlie) Felder, Harleyville, SC; Brothers-in-law Charles (Shirley) Brown, Harold and Willie C. Brown all of Harleville, SC; a loving aunt, Bertha (James) Segar of St. George, SC; Four Uncles, Johnny Britt, Isaac (Shirley) Britt, Rev. General (Queen) Britt, Jr. and John (Rena) Britt all of St. George, SC; loving nieces and nephews, Cathy, Karen, Tammy, Solvokia, Karmen, Chalanta, Toccora, Latoya, Ericka, Marquita, Brittany, Jennifery and Tiaquana; Clyvincent, Clyde LeMark, William "Billy", Jamaal, Michael, Jeron, Karenski, Ryan, Dejuan, Jeffrey, Almonda, Kieon, Dwayne, Jason and Lenard; Two adopted daughters, Christal Stevens and Shana Wamer and his special little person, Aaliyanah "Moo Moo" and a host of other relatives and friends.
