Mrs. Sallie R. Murdaugh departed this life on Thursday, October 15, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Jones and Mary Grimes.

Sister Murdaugh was married to the late Charles W. Murdaugh. To this union, four adorable children were born.

Sister Murdaugh was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1959.

Sister Murdaugh was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Charles W. Murdaugh, two wonderful brothers—Abraham Grimes and Jones Grimes, Jr., and a wonderful sister—Elleree George.

Sister Murdaugh leaves to cherish fond memories: two loving sons, Charles E. Murdaugh of Asheville, NC and Craig W. Murdaugh of Atlanta, GA; two loving daughters, Chyrea A. Murdaugh and Tabitha (David) Murdaugh Folston both of Columbia, SC; four loving grandchildren, Nakita C. (Andre) Brothers Williams of Aiken, SC, Tekiera L. Murdaugh, Zoe Green, and Zion Green all of Columbia, SC; four loving sisters, Edith Berry of New London, Ct., Grace Porter of Brooklyn, NY, Gladys (Henry) Breland of Ehrhardt, SC and Ester Tarrent of Brooklyn, NY; one loving brother, Charles (Virginia) Grimes of Raleigh, NC; and many other relatives and friends.
