Mrs. Sadie Mae Martino-Murray of 691 Sheffield Avenue, Brooklyn, NY transitioned on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Northshore Memorial Hospital, Manhasset, New York.

Sadie was born March 16, 1940 the oldest daughter of the late Willie Martino and Ruby Carson-Martino.

She attended Dorchester County Public Schools.

Sadie worked for Robert and Natalie Mandel from many years as a Nanny.  They had three beautiful daughters, named Lynn, Abby and Wendy. Once Robert and Natalie moved to New Jersey in 1980, Sadie worked for Lynn who is the oldest daughter of Robert and Natalie.  She worked for her until she retired.  Sadie was a second mother to the girls.

Three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death: Willie Lee, Shelia, Ray, Claretta, Mamie, Virginia, and Brenda.

Sadie was married to the late Vernell Murray. One son, Adolph "Darrell" Murray, both preceded her in death.

She leaves precious memories to her granddaughter, Shemeyrra Murray of New York; great granddaughter, Ameyrra Buchanan; one sister, Deloris Martino of St. George, SC; one aunt, Sheila Carson of Brooklyn, NY; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Martino, Janie Ruth Martino, Dora Ann Martino, Ebenezer Wade and Bertha Salley; one brother-in-law, Phillip Bonaparte; nieces, Daphne, Doretha, Nicole, Chaunty, Theresa, Patricia, Adrienne, Jennifer, Shumeleasa and Cassandra; nephews, Barry, Ron, Ricky, Andrew, Ansel and Ernie; a host of other relatives and friends.
