Rudolph Howard Primus, son of the late Hubert and Alfair Gadson Primus was born February 23, 1941.

Early Saturday morning, God called him home and placed him in His care, where sickness and sorrow will be no more.

He was educated in the Dorchester County Public Schools.

At an early age he accepted Christ and joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

He was employed by Southern Railways for twenty-five years until his health began to fail him.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He never met a stranger.  To him everyone was a friend.  And if you ever needed him for anything he would be right there doing whatever was asked of him.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rubestine Primus and John Herbert Primus; two sisters, Betty Coaxum and Flora Mae Cobb; one brother-in-law, Charlie Coaxum; one granddaughter, Rontoria Monique Primus.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a loving, devoted wife, Patricia Ford Primus of Louisiana; seven children, Ronald (Shirley) Primus of Harleyville, SC, Cheryl Pinckney of Ridgeville, SC, Regina Goodwin of Summerville, SC, Derrick Primus of New York, Wanda (Robert) Kimpson of Charlotte, NC, Cortena (Antonio) Howell of Cross, SC and Rudolph Howard Primus, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Helen Primus of New York and Dorothy Primus of Sumter, SC; one brother-in-law, Wilbur Cobb of Grover, SC; one uncle and three aunts, Arrie (Clemetine) Gadson, Myzine Primus, Christine Primus and Corine Gadson all of St. George, SC; a special cousin, Angie Primus Syphrett of St. George, SC; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
