On Friday, November 19, 2010, God's Angel of Mercy came to claim his own, Sister Rudell McFadden Zeigler. She was the daughter of the late Mr. George and Mrs. Anne Footman McFadden.
At an early age Rudell joined Jerusalem UM Church and later united with St. Daniels UM Church. She served on the Communion Steward Board, Senior Choir and the United Methodist Women faithfully until her illness.

Rudell was united in holy matrimony to the late Howard Zeigler. To this union eight children were born.

Rudell was educated at Bell School in Harleyville, SC.
Rudell was preceded in death by one child, three sisters and one
brother.

Rudell leaves to cherish her memories five daughters, Vylia (Harvey) Nelson of the home, Linda Branch and Carolyn (Garry) Haynes both of Harleyville, SC Brenda (Harrison) Hodges of Dorchester, SC, Karen Edwards of Brooklyn, NY; three sons, Wilson (Matricia) Zeigler of York, PA, Nathaniel Zeigler of Charlotte, NC and Nathan (Vanessa) Zeigler of Dorchester, SC; two foster grands Felicia Thomas and Zachery Edwards, Jamie Branch a special caregiver of the home and Elliot Branch of Denmark, SC; twenty-four grand children; twenty-six great grand children; one great great grandchild; one brother John Wesley McFadden of Hempstead, NY; one sister-in-law, Jannie Lee Zeigler of Harleyville, SC; three brothers-in-law, Willie Washington and Kizer Zeigler both of Harleyville, SC, and G.P. Zeigler of Miami, FL; one uncle, Rufus McFadden of Harleyville, SC; two foster children, Nathaniel Smalls of Charleston, SC and Shirley Brown of St. George, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
