Mr. Ross Roland Dicks Jr., was born on May 16, 1957 to the late Henrietta B. Dicks and Ross R. Dicks Sr. in Walterboro, SC.  At an early age his Christian journey began at Galilee Baptist Church in Round O, SC.

Mr. Ross Roland Dicks Jr. was a graduate of Walterboro High School in Walterboro, SC. After high school, his desire to serve in the military led him to an 18 1/2-year career serving our country. Through his dedicated years of service, he earned the rank of chief warrant officer. After the military, he pursued a career that he loved and drove millions of miles as a truck driver traveling across the country.

After seeing all the world, Ross returned home to dedicate his time to his family. He will be remembered for the love he bestowed upon his friends, family and mostly his children. Especially of the utmost importance was the blessing of family. As the patriarch of the family, his favorite words were "I'm the oldest".
