On Saturday, August 5, 2017 we come together to celebrate a special home going service for Rosetta Cobbs also known as Tella. God called her home on July 28, 2017 after a brief illness at her residence.

Rosetta was born July 29, 1948 the daughter of the late Frank and Nancy Riley. She was educated in the Public School System of Dorchester County.

Rosetta was united in holy matrimony to the late Allen Cobbs, Sr. for forty three years. This union was blessed with two loving and handsome sons.

Rosetta loved being a custodian in the public school system. Her favorite part was working with the children.

After leaving the school system she spent her time fishing, spending time with her grandchildren, enjoying cooking for people in the community and sitting on the porch watching the cars go by.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Deborah Riley Haynes, Nancy Riley Hopkins, three brothers, Frank Riley, Jr., Louis Riley and Herman Riley.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her two devoted sons, Shawn (Nicole) Cobbs and James Allen, Jr. (Lateka Butler) (Pamela Brown) Cobbs both of St. George, SC; ten grandchildren, DeShaun, Treshawn, Shadiamond, Alquan, Mikya, Rhianna, Keyonta, Teonna, Jacob, and Tysheema; two sisters, Louise (Johnnie) Kelly, Daisy (Charlie) Green both of St. George, SC; five brothers, Joseph (Josephine) Riley of Statesburgh, GA, James David Riley, Samuel Riley, Clarence Riley, and Kelvin Riley; four sisters-in-law, Georgia Senior, Deloris Harrell, Cindy Cobbs and Debbie Cobbs; two brothers-in-law, Maliachi (Cynthia) Cobbs and Daniel Haynes; two aunts, Catherine Rolack and Alma Boyd; three uncles, Freddie Moorer, Jimmy Segar and David (Philippine) Segar; three special people that she truly loved, they were always there for her, Rowenia Riley, Daniel Haynes and Jaquetta Murray; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
