Mrs. Rosa Lee Cobbs Wade, daughter of the late Elliott Cobbs and Viola Britt and widow of the late Floyd Wade, was born March 13, 1926 in St. George, SC.  She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro, SC, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Rosa was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County in St. George, SC.

At an early age Mrs. Rosa confessed her faith to the Lord and joined St. Mark Baptist Church, where she was a faithful, active and dedicated member for all of her life.  She served faithfully until her health began to fail.

Mrs. Rosa was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Floyd Wade.  This union was blessed with four sons, Gerald Wade, Johnnie Lee Wade, Jerome Wade and Thomas Lee Wade.  Gerald and Johnnie Wade preceded her in death.

She was a dedicated wife, mother and faithful servant of the Lord.  She was so kind, friendly and sweet; she loved everyone and was loved by everyone.  She was indeed, a pleasure to be around, so caring and so giving.

Mrs. Rosa leaves to cherish her many memories:  two devoted sons, Jerome Wade of St. George, SC/Orangeburg, SC and Thomas (Brenda) Wade of St. George, SC; a granddaughter, Sharon Britt, whom she raised as her own; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
