Mrs. Rosa Mae Jamison, affectionately known to many as (Bay) was born in Dorchester County on May 8, 1924 to the late Gentry Daniels and Mary Utsey Daniels.
Mrs. Rosa Mae Jamison joined Jerusalem Baptist Church at an early age and was a dedicated member serving in many capacities as a member of the choir, the Missionary Ministry, and Sunday School until her health failed.
She attended the public schools of Dorchester County. Mrs. Rosa Mae worked as a domestic worker until she became employed at Carolina Girls' Wear in St. George and then the Pillow Room in Summerville.
She was married to the late Mr. AZ Jamison and to this union they were blessed with twelve children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four children, Adline Williams (Pop), Viola Heyward (Vickie), Gregory Jamison and Anthony Jamison. She was a dedicated wife. Mother, grandmother, great grandmother and most of all a dedicated child of God.
She leaves to mourn her passing five daughters, Rozena Washington (Clyde), Mary Ann Britt (Theodore) both of St. George, SC, Louverne Britt (Robert Lee) of Ridgeville, SC, Sandra Jamison (Frankie), Vanessa Williams both of St. George, SC; three sons, Sammie Jamison (Shirley) Conyers, GA, Joe Edward Jamison (Patricia) of St. George, SC and Gentry Jamison (Blondell) of Summerville, SC; one sister, Mrs. Anna Bell M. of Tampa, FL; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Willie Mae Jamison of Dorchester and Mrs. Nell Jamison of Reevesville, SC; forty-four grandchildren; a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
