Roosevelt Rasberry, also known as "Rose" was born on September 11, 1933 in Dorchester County, Branchville, South Carolina to the late James and Ellen Britt Rasberry.

Rose passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at his residence.

He attended public school in Dorchester County.  He accepted Christ in his life.  He worked very hard in the fields.  He also worked at the GE Plant in Ladson, South Carolina for many years and SCDOT until his health started to decline.

Rose was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter, four brothers and three sisters.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, two daughters, Deloris Oliver of the home and Rose Z. Wamer of St. George, South Carolina; two son, Ellis M. Rasberry of Reevesville, South Carolina and Kleiman (Wanda) Rasberry of Branchville, South Carolina; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Nancy) Rasberry; one sister, Emma Rhett of Columbia, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
