On September 5, 2014, God stopped by the home of Ronald Lee Rhames. He whispered to him "take my hand, Ronald, let me lead you to the unknown land, where we will feast on milk and honey", after an extended illness, while being surrounded by his loving family.
Ronald Lee Rhames was born March 9, 1952. He was born to the late Rev. Esau and Cora Rhames. He was a graduate of Jenkins Hill High School in Harleyville, SC. Ronald was gainfully employed with Wash Burger Roofing Company, and also Jenna Dean Catering until his health declined.
Ronald loved landscaping. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Ronald was preceded in death by three brothers, John Rhames, Shelton Rhames, Burnet Rhames; two sisters, Arie B. Wright and Cora Bell Rhames.
He leaves to cherish his precious and loving memories: a caring stepmother, Anna Laura Rhames of Walterboro, SC; seven sisters, Jacqueline R. Smalls of Summerville, SC, Claireen (Alfred) Singletary, Annette (Kenneth) Gaddist, Patricia (Alonzo) Johnson, Joann (Johnnie) Johnson all of Dorchester, SC, Elizabeth (Andrew) Felder and Edna (Edwin) Boyd both of St. George, SC; four brothers, Esau (Mary) Rhames of Long Island, NY, Joseph Rhames of Rochester, NY, Herman Rhames and Alvin Rhames both of Dorchester, SC; sister-in-law, Carolyn Rhames; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
