Ronald Hopkins was born October 12, 1957 to the late Lue Bertha Street Hopkins and Owens Hopkins, Sr.  He was one of eight children.  One brother preceded him in death.  He was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church and strongly believed in the power of God.

Ronald attended school in Dorchester County where he graduated from St. George High Class of '76.  He worked at North Folk Southern (Brosnan Forest) for 30 + years.

Ronald was a dedicated husband to Carrie M. Hopkins for 36 years.  Their union was blessed with two children, Rita Hopkins Felder (Andre) Atlanta, GA and Len Hopkins (LaDaijah) St. George, SC.

Ronald leaves to cherish his memories:  Tabari Martin, Amiyah Felder, Aaliyah Felder, Lenaii Hopkins, Ayden Felder, and Lailah Hopkins.  He leaves behind four sisters, and two brothers.  He also leaves behind three aunts, Nellie Risher of Gadson, SC, Dorothy Hopkins of Bronx, NY and Lizzie Mae Hopkins of Arizona.

Ronald was always willing to help friends, family, and the community.  He will truly be missed by sisters-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, great aunts, nieces, nephews, colleagues, friends and family.  May he peacefully rest.
