Roland Daniels, son of Valerie Daniels and the late Deacon Hubert Daniels, was born June 4, 1962 in Colleton County.  He departed this life on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the family home in Smoaks, South Carolina.

He attended the public schools of Colleton County and graduated from Ruffin High School in 1980.  At an early age he joined Beulah Baptist Church.

Roland was employed at Williams Building Supply in Williams, South Carolina for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Valerie Daniels of the home; special friend, Myra Utsey of Grover, South Carolina; one adopted daughter, Shauntae Utsey; three adopted grandchildren, Diwieja, Markaya and Markeis; two adopted great grandchildren; four aunts, Pernell Crosby of Walterboro, SC, Orine Jakes and Mary (Marshall) Bostic both of Smoaks, SC, and Jessie (Rev. Ernest)  Mattocks of Jacksonville, NC; one uncle, Alfred (Inez) Daniels of Smoaks, SC; three great aunts, Amelia Carter, Velerie Butler and Coleen Walker; a host of other relatives and friends.
