Rodney Demetrick Riley, commonly referred to as "HEATS", was born on October 30, 1973, in Charleston, S.C. He was the son of the late Elijah Britt and Louise Riley Britt. On Sunday, June 15, 2025, Rodney entered eternal peace at Trident Medical Center surrounded by his family. He will be remembered for the love of his family, friends and the love of his "Pittsburg Steelers".

Rodney was educated at Dorchester County Schools where he received his GED. He was employed by Dorchester County Water & Sewer until his health started declining.

Rodney enjoyed spending quality time with his family, while vacationing in Myrtle Beach & Jacksonville FL. One of the highlights of his life was when he saw Pittsburg Steelers play live in Jacksonville, FL. He also enjoyed all genres of music. Rodney loved installing radios, amps & loudspeakers. Besides God and his family, his next greatest love was the "Pittsburg Steelers".

Rodney was preceded in death by his father: Elijah Britt; Grandparents: Clyde and Margie Britt, Frank and Nancy Segar Riley; Aunts: Nancy Lee Hopkins, Rosetta Riley Cobbs, Deborah Riley Haynes, Clarine Williams, Bonitha McKelvey, Betty Rose Martin; Uncles: Frank Riley Jr., James David Riley, Herman Riley, Louis Riley, Clarence Riley, Hezekiah Britt and John Henry Martin.

The cherished memories of Rodney will be profoundly honored by his loving & caring wife, Tori Stokes-Riley, devoted daughters: JaNyah Stokes, Twins: Demetria Riley & Shanetria Riley; Loving Mother: Louise (Johnny) Kelly, Gifted Sisters: Shona Kelly, Brianna Jones; Talented Brothers: Kendrell (LaDeera) Kelly, Stephen (Jasmine) Kelly, Marquez (Tae) Kelly; Father & Mother in Law: Deacon Samuel & Elder Iris Rhett; Aunts: Daisy (Charlie) Green, Elizabeth Shirley (Joseph) Green, Carolyn Simmons; Uncles: Joseph (Josephine) Riley, Samuel Riley, Kelvin Riley, Daniel Haynes and Clyde Britt; Great aunts: Dr. Clara Dixon Britt, Philippine Segar; Sisters-in-law: Shaneka Rhett, Bree Richardson, Kindra Cobb, Tanisha James; Brothers-in-law: Tr-Shy (Tierrah) Rhett, D.J. (Naykara) Carter, Patrick James. Rodney was cherished by many close relatives, bonus fathers & friends and all of his godchildren including Teona, Jadaya, Denari, Iyanah, Trinity, Mani, Larenzo, Khaleigh, Elijah, Nasia, Tedric, Jaquan and Ty.
