Robert Summers was born to Daisy Bell Martino on April 13, 1952, in St. George, South Carolina; there Robert attended Williams Memorial School.  In 1972 at the age of 20, Robert moved to New York City where he met Annie Sanders.  Robert 20 and Annie 18 began a bonding relationship that could not be broken.  In February 16, 1981, they exchanged vows.  She was always his Queen, and he became her King.

Robert worked at Yates Roofing Company in the Bronx for a short time.  He then went on to work for Riverbay Corporation in Co-op City.  For more than 30 years he dedicated his self to the residents and grounds of Co-op City.

Robert was a people person; always ready to help someone.  He enjoyed fishing, cooking and grilling.  Fish with grits, BBQ ribs and more was his forte.  During family cookouts we made sure Robert was on the grill.

On July 4, 2021, Robert was called home to be with the Lord.  Robert will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife Annie.  He was a great husband, father, uncle, grill-man, brother-in-law and friend.

Robert leaves behind to cherish his memoires his wife Ann Summers; two sons, Keiry R. Summers and Geiry A. Summers; two grandsons, Na-Sair A. Summers and Logan E. Summers; three sisters, Blondell, Thareta and Gloria all of South Carolina; Billy, Joseph and Ricky; ten sisters-in-law, Sandra, Patricia, Lutricia, Doris, Adell, Octavia, Idella, Lorraine, Carolyn and Patrice; nine brothers-in-law, Julius, Gentry, William, Lessel, Wendell, James, Leroy, Richard and Frankie; He also leaves behind a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
