Mr. Rickie Davis, the son of the late Clarence and Katie Bell Davis Picket was born on December 27, 1957 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was raised by his grandparents, Robbie and Gladys Davis who preceded him in death. A brother, Robert Davis, Jr. also preceded him in death.

He was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County. He graduated from Harleyville High School, Class of 1976. He served in the US Army at Ft. Knox, Kentucky.

Rickie was joined in holy matrimony to Debora Edwards. God blessed them to be together for 30 untiring years. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He loved truck driving, going to church and taking time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him. He was also a member of Texas Community "Bright Star" Masonic Lodge.

He was call unto eternal rest on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Trident Medical Center, Charleston, SC. He leaves to mourn his passing, a loving and devoted wife, Debora Davis; two daughters, KaDisha (Robert) Sampson - Summerville, SC and Blanchtina Davis of the home. A brother, Calvin Pickett - New Jersey, one sister in law, Linda Moorer - Dorchester, SC., two grandsons, Joseph Davis and Justin Robinson and one granddaughter, Taylor Sampson all of Summerville, SC. Three Aunts, Helen (Johnny) Brown - Charleston, SC, Ola Mae Ray - Ridgeville, SC and Ruth James - Dorchester, SC. Two special nieces, Crystal (Clarence) Williams and Creosha Williams. Special Friends: Eddie Thomas, Eddie Davis, Jerry Howell,John Dingle and Arthur Edwards; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
