Obituary

Reverend James Jones was born October 10, 1938 to the late Simon and Hattie Jones in Auburn, Alabama. He was the sixth of ten children. Peacefully on June 9, 2011, God called him home.

Reverend Jones was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Jamison and Hattie Pearl Philpot and four brothers, Curtis Jones, Willie Jones, John B. Jones and Charlie Jones.

Reverend Jones was employed by South Carolina Department of Transportation for twenty plus years until he retired. He was loved by his family, friends, and all who came in contact with him. There was always a joke or funny story for every occasion. James was a true man of God who didn't mind sharing his testimony. His favorite past times were his garden, his chickens, and most of all fishing.
