Reverend Louis Britt, Jr. was born October 11, 1951 in St. George, SC to the late Isreal Britt and Mary Britt. On December 23, 2011Louis work on this earth was done and God called him home. He graduated from Williams Memorial High School. After graduation, he joined the army where he served sixteen years. He was employed with Husqvarna Consumer Outdoor for more than eighteen years.
Rev. Louis Britt, Jr. was married to the Reverend Jannie Britt. They resided in Harleyville for the last seventeen years. Shortly after marriage, Louis joined The House of God Church. He worked diligently as a member and soon after he became a deacon. Later he was called into the ministry. Louis loved to sing and preach.
He leaves cherished memories to his wife, Jannie Britt; three children, Julian Jackson of Columbia, SC, John Johnson of Rosinville, SC and Vanessa Earle of Dumfires, VA; five step children, Tranise Johnson, Nadean (Travis) Johnson-Green both of Summerville, SC, Richard Johnson, Jr. of Harleyville, SC, Samantha Johnson of St. George, SC and Jamaine Johnson of Charleston, SC; his mother, Evangelist Mary Britt of St. George, SC; his mother-in-law, Rosa Bell Mack of Harleyville, SC; one brother, Robert Britt; two sisters, Linda Carol Davis and Mary Josette (Ernest) Byrd; four sisters-in-law, Lelia (James) Bryant, Julie (Dean) Fogle, Cynthia (Melvin) Footman and Rose Ann (Richard) Barnes; four brothers-in-law, Gilbert (Linda) Mack, Robert (Ernestine) Mack, Nathaniel Mack and James Mack; sixteen grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
