Rederick Sidney Primus, first born of Rev. Robert Primus and the late Pearline Jennings Primus was born on December 24 ^th , 1967 in Charleston, South Carolina. After a tremendous fight, Sidney departed this life on November 17 ^th , 2020, at 2:45 pm at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

"Sidney", as he was affectionately known, attended Dorchester County public schools where he was a 1986 St. George High Graduate and a talented basketball player. He furthered his education and basketball tenure at East Tennessee State University and Lander University. In addition, he completed the Boeing Aerospace Academy.

He was employed with various companies until his health failed, notably the 9/11 Commission in New York.

Sidney is preceded in death by his mother, Pearline, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandfather.

He will be sorely missed by his son, Brandon Primus of Arizona, father, Reverend Robert Primus of St. George, SC,  sister, Dr. Ashley Primus of Columbia, SC, two grandchildren Mya and Cam Primus, grandmother, Myzine Guess, a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
