Reatha was born in Reevesville, SC on June 10, 1952.  She is the daughter of Lillie Ruth Rhett Major and the late John C. Major.

She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church (known now as New Grace United Methodist Church).  She was a faithful member until her health failed, but she still paid her dues.

Reatha graduated from Williams Memorial High School, class of 1970.  She later moved to New York, where she was employed with Verizon for many years.

Reatha met and married Benjamin Grant.  To this union on son was born, Sean, whom she loved very much.

She returned to South Carolina to care for her mother.  She joined the Sixty Plus Organization.  She enjoyed being a member and attending all of the events.

She loved shopping, make-up, "Oldies but Goodies" music and most of all she loved God.

Reatha leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Benjamin; her son, Sean; her mother, Lillie Ruth; her sister, Edith and family; her brother, Louis and family; many cousins and friends.

Reatha will surely be missed.
