Mr. Randy Gavins, son of Mr. David Walters, Jr. and Mrs. Mary Ann Walters was born on March 9, 1959 in Holly Hill, SC. He entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2016 at Orangeburg Regional Medical Hospital.

He grew up in the Holly Hill area and attended Holly Hill Roberts High School. He was married to Almeanter Amaker Gavins for 33 years and to this union five children was born.

At an early age Randy Gavins joined Briner Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) under the leadership of the late Reverend Jacob Jamison.

He was employed with Reverend Irvin Capers and Joseph Myers Masonry until his health failed.

During his spare time he enjoyed making others laugh, fishing, singing, joking around and dancing. It was never a dull moment when he was around.

Randy Gavins was preceded in death by his oldest son Charles Amaker, and two brothers, Jerry Gavins and Harry Lee Walters.

He leaves to cherish his love and fond memories, his wife, Almeanter Gavins of the home; one daughter, Merylin Neals of Harleyville, SC; four sons, Freddie Johnson, Randy Kevin (Pamela) Johnson, Rodney Johnson and Rodney Keitt all of Holly Hill, SC; his parents, David Walters, Jr. and Mary Ann Walters of Holly Hill, SC; four brothers, Jerome (Linda) Gavins, Lewis (Christine) Walters, David Lee (Michelle) Walters and Curtis Mitchell; two sisters, Mary Lee Sellers and Mary Sue (Nathaniel) Ravenell; seven sisters-in-law, Joyce Mack of Summerville, SC, Reverend Dorothy Bowman, Nealy (Jake) Newton, Mary Amaker, Mildred Amaker, Herlene Amaker all of Harleyville, SC and Lorraine Walters of Holly Hill, SC; four brothers-in-law, James (Bertha Lee) Amaker, Charles Adams, Michael Adams and Sammy Adams all of Harleyville, SC; thirteen grandchildren; five aunts; two uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
