Randolph Bennett was born August 1, 1950 to the late Mr. Alva and Reather Mae Bennett in Ridgeville, SC.  He was the third of four children.  One sibling preceded him in death, Loretta Gene Bennett Rice.

Randolph was educated in Dorchester County School System.  After completing high school, he relocated to New York.  There he worked and spent most of his adult life. In 2003, he moved back to his home in Ridgeville, SC.

In 1971, he met and married Carol McHan Bennett.  To this union one child was born.  Carol preceded him in death.  In 1995, he married Rebecca Erving Bennett.  Randolph was known and loved throughout his community.  To his friends and family, he was known as "Butch", "Slick" or "Ran".  To the children he was affectionally known as "PaPa".

He departed this life, Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Summerville Medical Center.  He was surrounded by family and friends that loved him and will miss him dearly.

Randolph's memories will be cherished by his wife Rebecca Bennett, New York; his daughter, Akeisha Ann Bennett, Ridgeville, SC;  one step daughter, Tiffany Bennett, New York ; one brother, Albert Bennett, Jr., Summerville, SC; one sister,  Janie  Smith, Ridgeville, SC; five grandchildren, Shaquevia, Trenton, Basheem, Jatissa and Hodayah; two great grandchildren, Ayden and MyKing; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special cousin, James Edward Carter and special friend Jimmy Doctor.
