Ramona Woodard-Sligh, has gained her wings on Monday, October 4, 2021. Ramona was born on April 15 th , 1955, in Albany, New York to the late David Walter Judkins and Irene Miller.
Ramona was educated through the Albany City School System in Albany, New York. She went on to advance her studies at the Albany Business College and later, after her move south, she attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
While in Albany, Ramona was employed in many clerical positions, at Albany Memorial Hospital, New York State, the Law Offices of Eric Copeland and HUD. Ramona was a hard worker, always loving a challenge and having a chance to learn something new.
Ramona moved to South Carolina in 1992 in search of a more relaxed lifestyle. Where in 2015 she met her husband Monroe Sligh and they married in 2016. Ramona was an active member of Bethel AME Church, where she loved volunteering and helping where-ever needed.
Ramona enjoyed all her grandchildren; they all had their special time with her.
Ramona leaves to cherish her memory her husband Monroe Sligh, her daughters; Davina Woodard (Sha-Creama), Jamillah Bryant, Shadema Woodard and Michelle Moore. Seven Grandchildren; Talik Scott, Malika Polk, Jakyi Scott, Ishon Miller, K'Mar Johnson K'Mari Johnson and K'Mya Moore. Her brother David Judkins. Special Friend Rosetta Cokley. Ramona is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Ramona was predeceased by her parents; David Walter Judkins and Irene Miller and siblings; Mary Hicks, Margaret Carrington, Geraldine Robinson and Darnell Judkins. Her Grandsons, Nah-Cream Moore and Tommieleek Mayweather and two best friends Delores Manning-Turman and Sharon McBride.
