Obituary

Pauline Lewis, affectionately known by many as "Toe" of 332 Bryant Rd. Reevesville, SC entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 11, 2023. She was born on September 7, 1959 in Titusville Florida to the late Paul "Popcorn" Dacus and the late Etta Perry Dacus.

Pauline was educated in the public school system of Dorchester County, graduating from St. George High in the class of 1977. With sewing as her passion, she made her career as a seamstress working in both Branchville, SC and later in Orangeburg, SC. She was later employed by Days Inn and Budget Inn of St. George, SC where she worked as a Housekeeper. Her favorite pass time was spending time with family and sitting in the yard entertaining those who would frequently visit.

In May 1977 she was joined in matrimony to the late Prophet Adell Lewis Jr. and this union was blessed with four wonderful children. Pauline was a loving, caring mother and her children and grandchildren were her life and her love.

Ms. Lewis was preceded in death by a daughter, Kejuana Lashae Lewis and siblings Mary Etta Dacus, DeWayne Dacus, Eileen Brown, Jeremiah Dacus, Willie Jr. Perry and Ulysses Perry.

She leaves to cherish her precious and fond memories to her loving daughter, Colondia Lewis of Columbia, SC, two devoted sons; Gerrod Lewis of Ridgeland, SC and Demetrice (Naniesha) Lewis of Walterboro, SC; four sisters, Barbara Moore, Rosetta (Louis) Cokley, Cynthia Primus all of Reevesville SC; and Sylvia Primus of Manhattan, NY; two brothers, Charles (Liz) Dacus of Manning, SC and Gary Primus of Manhattan, NY; sisters-in-law, Gracie (Craig) Johnson, Tiny Perry of Reevesvile, SC and Emarunda (John) Green of Orangeburg, SC; brother-in-law, Horace (Linda) Lewis of St. George, S;. nine grandchildren, Jainesha Lewis of Huger, SC, Tenasia Phelps, TaJahn Phelps and NaQuasia Lewis all of Columbia, SC, Jametrice Lewis, India Lewis, Alexis and Andre' Jenkins of Walterboro, SC and Jaziah Lewis of St. George, SC; five great-grandchildren; Rhyanne, Cairo, Madison, Milan and Brysen; her aunts and uncle that were very instrumental in her life; Jessie(Edgar) Burke, Rachel Duley, Dorell (Cleve) Ferguson and Curtis Perry; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
