Pauline Chandler Bryant was born November 26, 1930 to the late Mack and Rena Lewis in St. George, SC.  She departed this life on Sunday, February 3, 2019 after an extended illness.

Pauline was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County.  She relocated to Brooklyn, New York and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Upon returning to South Carolina she re-affiliated herself with Bethel Baptist Church.

Pauline was united in marriage to the late Luke Chandler and later to the late Joseph Bryant.

She worked for many years at Temple University Hospital in the Food Service Department.

Pauline cherished her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters:  Helen L. Shuler and Emma L. Brothers; two brothers, James Lewis and David Lewis.

She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Connie Coaxum of St. George, SC; son, Frank Chandler of St. George, SC; grandson, Jamaya J. Coaxum of St. George, SC; nieces, Carrie Lewis of Boston, MA, Armie Mikell of Summerville, SC and Laura Brothers of Hyde Park, MA; sister by heart, Bernell Murray of Mt. Holly, NJ; a host of other relatives and friends.
