Mr. Paul Cobbs , Sr. born March 13, 1913 to the late Mr. Ben Cobbs and LaLa Jones Cobbs, departed this life on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the St. George Health Care Center, St. George, South Carolina.

Paul grew up in St. George and attended the public schools of Dorchester County.

At an early age he joined the Good Hope Baptist Church and served faithful until he became disabled.

He was united in Holy matrimony to Mrs. Wilhelmenia Robinson Cobbs for 76 years, and to this union they were bless with five children, with one, Willie C. Cobbs, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife, Mrs. Wilhelmenia Cobbs of the home; two daughters, Mary C. Primus and Rose M. Smoaks both of Columbia, SC; two sons, Paul (Shirley) Cobbs, Sr. and James C. (Elizabeth) Cobbs both of St. George, SC; one special grandson reared in the home, Mitchell Paul (April) Cobbs of Columbia, SC; eight grand children; twelve great grand children; four great great grand children; one special nephew, Louis C. Cobbs; one special niece, Annie M. Pinckney of Brooklyn, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
