Pastor Bernard Frazier was born on May 17, 1955 to the late Elder Dr. Patrick Sr. and Cora Lee Cohen Frazier, in St. George, South Carolina. Bernard was a 1974 graduate of St. George High School. Voted "Most Talented" by his Senior Class, he played Basketball (Forward), Football (Linebacker and Defensive End), ran Track and participated in the Band where he went from originally playing the saxophone to later playing bass drum.

Bernard and his siblings traveled around the St. George community singing at various churches and services. As a member of the "Frazier Singers" he originally served as the bass guitar player for the group but in true "Bernie" fashion, he learned to play whichever instrument(s) needed to be played.

Following High School, he worked a few years in his father's business, Pat's American Shoe Shop, as a cobbler and worked at the local Piggly Wiggly as a Bagger and Stocker. In 1976, Bernard enlisted into the United States Army serving as a Switching System Operator (36M) in which over his 13-year career, was stationed at Posts in Augusta, Georgia, South Korea, Fort Hood, Texas and Hanau, Germany. SGT Frazier was awarded: Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal (4th), Overseas Service Ribbon, and a Driver & Mechanic Badge with Bar.

While stationed in Augusta, GA, Bernard met and married Patricia Ann and became the Bonus-Dad to a daughter, Yolanda. In the winter of 1983, during their decade long union, the couple would welcome one child, a baby girl they named Shawana.

Post Military, he returned home, to St. George, SC where he worked for over a decade at U.S. Cocoa Mat LLC as a Machine Operator and Maintenance Technician. He later went on to obtain his Commercial Driver's License and worked for Readi- Mix as a cement truck driver. Bernard was promoted to Grandfather in 2008 with the birth of his first and only Grandson, Javan who gave him a new found purpose and dedication in life.

He was a member of Shiloh F.B.H. Church, in Byrds, SC, founded by his late Father Elder Dr. Patrick Frazier Sr. where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent and in 2013, was appointed as Pastor. Bernard was known for his huge heart and eagerness to help. He was a devout servant of God, his family, his Church and Community.

In the afternoon of December 21, 2025, Bernard entered eternal rest at the Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, in Sumter, SC, with his daughter by his side.

Bernard is preceded in death by his Parents, Elder Dr. Patrick Sr. and Cora Lee Cohen Frazier and oldest sister Willerma Frazier-Riley. He leaves behind to continue his legacy a daughter, S.L. Frazier and grandson Javan D. Jordan Jr. of South Carolina, a bonus-daughter Yolanda Stallworth-Harris of Waynesboro, GA, brothers Bishop Patrick L. (Sharon) Frazier Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Pastor James (Erma) Frazier of Reevesville, SC, Elder William "WC" (Kathy) Frazier of Leland, NC and Elder Charles (Sylvia) Frazier of St. George, SC. Sisters Pastor Susan (Andrew) Wilson of Columbia, SC, Minister Gwendolyn (Eugene) Elmore of South Carolina and Charlotte (Delmar) Callaway of Summerville, SC and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
