Obituary

Mrs. Ollie Mae Gadson Joyner daughter of the late Richmond and Melvine Lewis Gadson was born on July 3, 1926 in St. George, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Orangeburg Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

She attended the public schools of Dorchester County. She was a lifelong member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health failed. She served in the usher's ministry, the choir, Sunday School and was a past president of the Missionary Society.

She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Willie Joyner, Sr. This union was blessed with five children. Two children Nettie Williams and Charles Joyner preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: a loving and devoted daughter, Linda Joyner of the home; two sons, Isaiah Joyner and Willie Joyner, Jr. both of the home; three grand children, Deshawn (Bernadette) Haskell of VA, Joanne Wade and Anthony Wade both of St. George, SC; six great grand children, Justin, Taylor, Genesis, Gerrod, Janiya and Israel; two sisters, Albertha Heyward of St. George, SC and Julia Benjamin of Orlando, FL; one aunt, Vinnie Gadson of Florence, SC; two sisters-in-law, Ora Lee Joyner of Summerville, SC and Doris Gadson of Miami, FL and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
